"Orders usually work, but it’s not always seamless"
I’ve had a mixed experience with order execution. To be fair, most of my buys and sells go through without any real issue, so it’s not like the platform is unusable or anything. But every now and then, especially when the market is moving quickly, the fill price ends up a little different from what I thought I was getting. Maybe that’s just part of trading in fast conditions, but it still makes the experience feel a bit inconsistent. Not awful, just not as smooth as I’d like.

I tried using it on my phone and it made something that should be simple feel way harder than it needs to be. The layout is awkward, buttons are hard to tap, and I found myself getting annoyed just trying to do basic things.

I went to place a trade and the app just froze on me. I’m assuming the platform was lagging again because by the time it responded, I’d already missed my entry. Frustrating when this keeps happening

I tried using the referral promo, but the bonus never showed up when I expected it to. "I just didn’t feel comfortable with how they handle privacy"
I ended up deleting my account because the way they handle data and privacy just didn’t sit right with me. Maybe some people won’t be bothered by it, but after looking through things a bit more, it started to feel kind of sketchy, or at least not as clear and reassuring as I would want from a service I’m trusting with my information. I’d rather not keep using something if I’m constantly wondering where my data is going or how it’s being used, so I decided to be done with it.

The dashboard is okay overall, and the navigation does work, but I found it a little confusing at times. It feels like I have to click around more than I should to get where I’m going. Anyway... it gets the job done, but it could definitely be more straightforward.

I signed up for Gemini the other day, mostly just to poke around and see how everything worked. The site itself looked clean enough, and at first I was just clicking through without really having to think too much about what came next.

There were a couple parts where I ended up waiting longer than I thought I would, especially around the ID verification stuff. A few screens also felt a little sluggish, which wasn’t a huge deal, but it did make the whole process feel less smooth than I expected.

In the end, I did get through it and nothing was especially confusing, so I wouldn’t call it a bad experience. It was easy enough to start, just not super polished, and I’d probably describe the onboarding as average overall.

"The learn section didn’t really clear things up for me"
I checked out their learn section hoping it would make things easier, and it was kind of disappointing. It covers the basics, which is fine, I guess, but after going through it I still felt lost. Maybe it’s helpful if you already know what you’re doing, but for me it didn’t really click. Not terrible, just not very useful either...

"My transaction took forever"
I tried using gemini.com thinking it would be quick and easy, but oh my gosh, my transaction just sat there pending like it had gone on vacation. No clear update, no helpful info, nothing, just me refreshing and checking over and over like a stressed-out lunatic. When you need money to move fast, that kind of waiting feels absolutely maddening. Maybe it works smoothly for other people, but for me the processing speed was painfully slow. i don’t think I’d use it again

"Decent features, but confusing availability"
The features are decent overall, but I was annoyed to find that some coins aren’t available in my area. What’s frustrating is that this wasn’t made very clear upfront, so I only figured it out after looking around. A little clearer communication would make the experience much better.

I was thinking about trying gemini, but the more I read about it, the more unsure I felt. There seem to be a lot of negative stories out there, and their overall reputation just doesn’t really make me feel comfortable putting my money in. Maybe it works perfectly fine for some people, I don’t know, but with crypto, trust is a huge deal for me. I just don’t get the best feeling about them, so for now I’m staying away.

I ran into an issue with my account, and the communication from Gemini was really frustrating.

The replies I got were vague and felt like copy-paste responses. Nobody seemed to clearly own the problem either, so it felt like I was being passed around without anyone actually taking responsibility or explaining what was going on.

I can deal with waiting if someone is upfront with me, but not knowing who was handling it or how long it would take made the whole thing confusing and stressful. Definitely not a good experience

"Funds Took Way Too Long to Clear"
My money sat there as pending for what felt like forever, and I couldn’t use it or withdraw it when I actually needed it. Support didn’t give me much of an explanation either, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. I guess it eventually is what it is, but it definitely wasn’t the experience I was expecting.

gemini feels safe overall, and I do appreciate the fraud protection, but just a heads up: the account holds and fraud checks can take longer than you might expect. It’s reassuring in one sense, but frustrating when you’re trying to access your money or get something resolved quickly. I’d warn others to be patient and not assume everything will move fast.

To be fair, the app itself wasn’t terrible, and I’m sure it works fine for some people. But in my experience, the spreads felt wider than I expected and a few of my orders slipped more than I was comfortable with. A couple trades ended up costing more than the preview made it seem, which was frustrating. I didn’t completely hate it, but I eventually stopped using it for buys.
